Introducing ACAM’s new correlative deep tissue imaging platform
We are thrilled to announce that ACAM has expanded its imaging infrastructure with two state‑of‑the‑art systems for correlative deep tissue and mesoscale imaging: the ZEISS LSM 980 NLO multiphoton confocal microscope and the ZEISS Lightsheet 7 (LS7) microscope.

Ready to hack our microscopes
Sarah De Beuckeleer and Marlies Verschuuren had the opportunity to take part in the EMBO workshop "Hack your microscope" held at ITQB NOVA in Oeiras, Portugal. Inspring talks on open source microscopy and (un)conventional microfluidics, with a focus on cost-efficiency and accessibility, were combined with hands-on sessions with multiple open source microscopes such as OpenFlexure, OpenUC2, OpenFrame and Thorlabs building blocks.

Flanders BioImaging in full effect
On December 15th, 2025 ACAM organized the annual networking event of Flanders BioImaging . Around 100 researchers gathered at the Univeristy of Antwerp to get an overview of the progress made within Flanders BioImaging and to discuss the importance of research infrastructures in general.
