We have organised a successful edition of the interuniversity course “From Pictures to Numbers (P2N)” in collaboration with experts from different Flemish Universities. With 26 enthusiastic participants, ranging from PhD students to postdocs and technicians, the researchers gained fundamental knowledge about image properties, processing and tools for automatic analysis and put theory into practice through hands-on exercises. This edition, there was a specific focus on big data, deep learning, and the transfer of image processing concepts from microscopy images to molecular imaging.
